Dinafem developed this auto-flowering strain by crossing a Cheese Auto and a Blueberry Auto plant. The result is a medium sized auto that produces between 40 - 135 gr/plant in a total growing time of 10 weeks from germination. The flavor and aromas represent the Blue Cheese lineage well.

Overall, Blue Cheese Auto is an excellent choice for home grows. The medium height makes this an option for stealth growers, and everyone will appreciate the heavy yields and strong medicinal qualities of this plant. Learn more on Seedsman.

We've grown several of these and each seed germinated successfully. Since these are autos, we skipped topping and training, and they grew uniformly to around three height (~90cm) with a traditional Christmas tree shape.

The flowers were large for autos with excellent resin production that started early in flowering. We saw consistent flowering times of 70 days from germination to get a balanced effect at harvest.

With high levels of both THC and CBD, the bud produces a nice sedative effect. It started slow and finished strong.

Easy to Grow?

These plants were reasonably easy to grow since they weren't particularly prone to pests. We did notice that they were sensitive to nutrient burn when young but recovered nicely.

Speed to Flower?

The breeder states ten weeks from germination to harvest. We found that to be accurate and uniform across the plants we grew. The flowers were large for autos and dense with high resin production.

Medical Use?

Blue Cheese Auto has high levels of CBD and produces relaxing effects, making it an excellent choice for treating pain, anxiety, stress, and depression. We did not harvest until CBD production was maximized, resulting in the medicinal bud of the highest quality. Learn more on how to find the perfect time to harvest in our harvesting guide.

Blue Cheese Auto has high levels of THC for an auto at 15-20% resulting in relaxing high. The effects are balanced, without racing thoughts or anxiety.

Dinafem's Blue Cheese Auto grows large flowers with lots of resin.

The advertised yield is suitable for an auto; indoors growers will harvest between 40 - 135 gr/plant in a total growing time of 10 weeks from germination. Outdoors yields will increase to 50 - 150 gr/plant. Growing under 800 watts LED lights, we averaged 100 grams a plant. The buds were also large for autos and dense with high levels of resin development. The overall yield was on par with other strains.

Blue Cheese Auto has a sweet fruity flavor that is followed by the classic cheese flavor that makes it so distinct. The flowers cure well and results in a relatively smooth smoke.

Grow Setup

We grew in a 4x4 tent with 4 LED lights: one 1200W light, one 800W light, and 2 400W COB lights. The temp was between 60 and 70 degrees throughout the grow. We grew in a soil/coco mix and used Blue Planet Nutrients as the base nutrient for this grow. Once per week, we added CalMag and compost tea.
